This is our Immaculate Heart of Mary Orphrey. It has been designed with vestment making in mind but it would also make a lovely addition to a backpack! This would make a very striking central piece to a vestment Orphrey. This is surrounded with a decorative border to frame the image.
The Immaculate Heart of Mary (Latin: Cor Immaculatum Mariae) is a Catholic devotion which refers to the view of the interior life of Mary, her joys and sorrows, her virtues and hidden perfections, and, above all, her virginal love for God the Father, her maternal love for her son Jesus Christ, and her motherly and compassionate love for all mankind.
The Orphrey does have an iron on backing (it is optional to iron it on), for application I would recommend pressing firmly (with a cloth over the badge to secure) and then to follow with some stitching.
